HP Z 3100 and HP Z 6100 leopard driver configuration
To set up your HP Z series Leopard driver correctly first make sure you have “Printer Manages Color” set as the default in your ImageNest preferences. The first settings to configure when in the print dialog is the “Color Matching setting. Once configured remember that all settings can be saved under “Presets”.
Pull down the “Profile” menu and choose the profile for your printer and media combination. With this method only profiles made by Hewlitt Packard will show up and be available. If you are using a custom made profile scroll to the bottom of the list and choose “Other Profiles”. This will load all the profiles in your ColorSync folder and make them available for use with the print driver.
Next, go to the Paper Type/Quality setting to configure your paper type.
The paper type you select needs to match the profile selected in the previous step. If using a custom profile, be sure to use the same setting that was used when creating the profile. The Paper Type/Quality setting has a large effect on color. If a profile is used for the incorrect setting color results will be severely compromised.
Once you have made your Paper Type/Quality setting you can save all the settings you have made as a set. Now you can select the setup whenever you wish to print without having to redo your settings
