Epson Leopard Drivers

The Epson drivers have taken a huge leap forward and are now CUPS based (Common Unix Printing System) . The former technology called TIOGA was far more limited and did not have the ability to use true 16 bit or to easily use custom made profiles (Not impossible but not easy).

The new Leopard driver can now very easily use custom profiles and will work perfectly with ImageNest. In ImageNest set the Printer Profile preference to “Printer Manages Color” then set the drivers color matching preference to COLORSYNC and choose the correct output profile. If you are using Epson media the automatic mode will select the correct profile for your media based on the paper type you choose in the PRINT Settings dialog.

As a cocao based software rip, ImageNest can always take advantage of these new technologies

Here is a link to all of Epson’s Leopard drivers. It is pretty much all the printers they have made for the last couple of years.
