Epson Driver configuration on leopard
To set up your Epson Leopard driver correctly first make sure you have €œPrinter Manages Color€ set as the default in your ImageNest preferences. To get to the print dialog click the €œPrint€ icon or select print in the file menu. Once in the dialog select €œPrint Settings€ in the pull pull down. These settings will effect every batch print image
Click on the €œBasic€ tab at the top and then proceed to each choice that is appropriate to your workflow. In the Color settings make sure that you have €œOff (No Color Adjustment)€ as the color settings. This will ensure that your print is not color managed twice which can result in a very bad looking print.
The next dialog to configure is €œColor Matching€. Select €œColor Matching€ in the pull down.
Once in the €œColor Matching€ dialog there are two ways it can be configured that will product correct results depending on your workflow.
Method 1: This is best used if you have no custom ICC profiles and are using Epson Media designed for your machine. Select the €œColorSync€ button and leave the profile on €œAutomatic€ this will select the profile that is associated with the media type you selected in the €œPrint Settings€ dialog.
Method 2: This is best used if you have custom ICC profiles for your paper or if you are making custom profiles for your Epson media. Select the €œColorSync€ button and then use the pull down to select €œOther Profiles€. This will take you to the ColorSync profile library. Make sure that the profile you wish to use is in the ColorSync library.
Choose the ICC profile for your printer/media and it will be loaded. If your profile does not appear in this list copy it into the ColorSync folder and re-load the list. Once you are finished select the €œPresets€ pull down and save your setting. Use this setting every time you wish to print with the configured media.
