ImageNest Software RIP release Date

Monday, February 25th, 2008

Version 1.0 will be released online on Monday March 3rd. We are very excited to be bringing this product to market and hope that our technology can help usher in a new era of productivity in inkjet printing. Early adopters should know that we will be giving free updates until at least 2010 and  possibly longer.

ImageNest will be the first Software RIP to offer support for DNG files, Camear Raw files and Many other formats.  As a Universal Binary and 100% cocoa programmed application ImageNest is also well prepared for Future operating systems from apple.

Epson Leopard Drivers

Monday, February 25th, 2008

The Epson drivers have taken a huge leap forward and are now CUPS based (Common Unix Printing System) . The former technology called TIOGA was far more limited and did not have the ability to use true 16 bit or to easily use custom made profiles (Not impossible but not easy). (more…)

Single Image Layout

Friday, February 22nd, 2008

In version 1.0 we will be including something most people have never seen. We are calling it Single Image Nesting and think it will change the way people print. Single Image Nesting will allow users to take a whole batch of images and automatically scale, rotate, center (with offset if desired), and add cut marks to them in a single step. The result is that each image in the batch is on its own page. If you have 10 images you have ten pages ready to print. Users of course control page size and all other parameters.

Single Image Nesting can perform this function on 25 images in less than 1 second. Yes, it is that fast and it even does PSD, Camera RAW, and DNG files. If any of you out there have progressed to the HDR format, yes, we support that too.

As far as wee know, we are the only software RIP to offer this feature

Just like the Epson printers we support any Canon Printer that currently runs on OSX. Currently we only support printing via the Canon Mac driver (the most common method) but we are working on support for Canon’s 16 bit export module that is available for selected Image PROGRAF printers. We (more…)
