A source profile is an ICC profile assigned to an image as its source color space (it may also be embedded). When a file in printed color is converted from the source profile to the printer profile in order to accurately reproduce an image. Input profiles are typically embedded into an image at capture (by the camera or scanner) or in post production (in an application such as Nikon Capture, Aperture, Lightroom, or Photoshop). If no embedded profile is present ImageNest will automatically assign whatever profile in selected in our source profile dialog as the source profile.
