Fit To Fill Sizing Option

When "Fit to fill" is used, a files aspect ratio may not be in correct proportion to the specified size. When not in perfect proportion a file can be cropped at the edges. The user than has the option to move the picture within the outlines of the "Fill" box to line it up any way they wish. The amount cropped is small and the user always has control over what part of the images is cut off. Use the "Hand" tool in the "Image Selection Options" dialog to move an image inside of its box.

The "Fit to Fill" feature is shown in the example below. An 8 by 10 image does not fit perfectly into a 5 x7 aspect ratio so the image is scaled to fill the entire 5 x7 frame. Since the aspect ratios are different, the image has some overlap that will not fit in the 5 x 7 frame. ImageNest centers the image in the 5 x 7 box and does not display any part of the image that does not fit within the 5 x 7 frame. Users can move the image inside the 5 x7 frame with the "hand" tool in the ImageNest

Example: Original Image 8 by 10
Fit to Fill 5 by 7’
FInal size: 5.6 by 7 image centered in a 5 by 7 box. Image can be moved within the box to choose what parts will be cropped off when added to the layout (See Examples 1 and 2 below)

image selector Remember that to move images inside their bounding box to use the "hand option" in the "Image Selection Options". This is only available when using Fit to Fill
